Τη Δευτέρα 15/12/14 ο Πρέσβης της Ολλανδίας στην Ελλάδα Jan Versteeg στα πλαίσια της επίσκεψης του στο Πανεπιστήμιο Πατρών, θα παρουσιάσει το Orange Grove, μια πρωτοβουλία της Ολλανδικής Πρεσβείας. Το Orange Grove είναι ένας ευέλικτος χώρος εργασίας, όπου νέοι επιχειρηματίες μπορούν να μετατρέψουν καινοτόμες ιδέες τους σε μια επιχείρηση. Στόχος του είναι να προσφέρει τα κατάλληλα εφόδια σε νέους Έλληνες επιχειρηματίες που θέλουν να ξεκινήσουν τη δική τους επιχείρηση ή να επεκτείνουν τις επιχειρηματικές τους δραστηριότητες στην Ελλάδα. Επίσης, θα ακολουθήσει παρουσίαση από τα μέλη δύο start-up εταιρειών, αποφοίτων του Πανεπιστημίου Πατρών που δραστηριοποιούνται στο Orange Grove.
Η εκδήλωση θα πραγματοποιηθεί στο Αμφιθέατρο Ι-4 του Συνεδριακού & Πολιτιστικού Κέντρου Πανεπιστημίου Πατρών, στο ισόγειο, τις ώρες 15:30μ.μ.-17:30 μ.μ.

* Jan Versteeg – Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Greece
Mr Versteeg was appointed Ambassador to the Hellenic Republic in summer 2012. Before that he was among others Deputy Permanent Representative of the Netherlands to NATO and Diplomatic Advisor (EU affairs, International Economic issues) to former Prime Minister Balkenende. He has a passion for sports and reading. Ambassador Versteeg will talk about the role of incubators in boosting entrepreneurship. He will also give a short presentation of Orange Grove, the initiative of the Netherlands Embassy in Athens, in collaboration with Dutch and Greek businesses and universities to promote entrepreneurship and innovation, stimulate brain mobility and counter youth unemployment.
* Clio Muse – Orange Grove Start-up
Sometimes in museums, we see some very impressive exhibits, but their labels are usually filled with unknown names, words, dates or facts. So we cannot understand what we are seeing and we eventually get tired. But what if there was an app that could change that?! Clio Muse is a tour guide app. It shares unique, interesting, true stories. The stories are timed, so you can be in control of your visit. You can vote for or share your favorite exhibits before the visit or afterwards, for free. Furthermore, the exhibitors can manage their online content themselves. They can organize extra activities and re-invite their visitors based on the interaction with the exhibits through the app.
* Prosvasis – Orange Grove Start-up
Prosvasis provides multifaceted support for disabled people and for people in medical recovery who are less mobile. Using a Geographic Information System, Prosvasis aims to provide information about the accessibility of locations for disabled people. This is done by showing destinations on a map that are accessible for disabled people. People with disabilities are not only confronted with accessibility issues in terms of infrastructure, but also by a lack of knowledge about places that are in fact accessible to them.
* Discussion – Q&A
The Ambassador will have an open discussion with the participants about innovation, entrepreneurship and the importance of further developing the European start-up ecosystem.
