Amidst the Covid19 crisis, Metavallon invests in [i2.d] technologies

During December 2020 and amidst the Covid19 crisis the  Metavallon VC team announced two new seed investments. Metavallon VC is active in seed investments with rolling investment proposal submissions around the year. 

On December 16th they announced their latest Seed investment into [i2.d] technologies. [i2.d] technologies is an ICT technology firm offering cutting-edge technology for SaaS, to software vendors and service providers. Founded in 2018 by Ioannis P. Dimitriadis, [i2.d] technologies is targeting the SaaS market as a technology enabler with a unique product portfolio consisting of two initial products. 

The first product is SaaS.fabric™, a platform for SaaS delivery automation. The company’s first commercial product is a cutting-edge service grid that provides end-to-end automation for SaaS delivery and fulfilment in-a-box. It covers the entire service life-cycle management including: computer & software resources bundling, service catalogue, product offering, provisioning, rating, order capturing, usage gathering, monitoring etc. The platform is infrastructure & software agnostic, offers time-to-market software services, lower integration costs, computer & s/w resources service bundling, agile configuration etc. SaaS.fabric™ supports service providers to automate their SaaS delivery and system integrators to effortlessly deliver SaaS-driven projects.

The second product is petranna™.db, a cloud service for data multi-tenancy transformation on any datastore. Petranna™.db is a unique managed service over the Cloud that transforms any RDBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, SQL Server, Oracle, DB2) into a multi-tenant one. The service comes with codeless implementation, is RDBMS & Cloud platform agnostic and offers multiple benefits such as: data multi-tenancy in-a-box, time to market SaaS-ready software, lower cloud costs etc. petranna™.db helps software vendors transform their back-end datastore to a SaaS-ready™ one and assists system integrators in managing data multi-tenancy related projects efficiently with a box solution.

According to the press release: “[i2.d] technologies targets the SaaS market which is expected to exceed USD 300 billion by 2026, while 3 in 4 organisations will use SaaS by 2021. The company aims to become a leading technology enabler for SaaS, led by an experienced team with profound technical and domain expertise, and to build an innovative and patent able product portfolio.” 

This funding round will go towards product improvements, accelerating commercialization into the market and expanding the existing team in Greece with additional hires.
